To access the battery section start by clicking on the “Inventory” button on the grey nav bar.

Select the “Batteries” icon.

To add a battery select the “+Add Battery” button.

You now need to add the details for the battery. Note that the items in light blue are required fields (Name, Cell Count and Capacity). A battery can be assigned to a specific drone or to all drones. The initial cycle count is to account for battery charges that were added to the battery before it was added to DroneLogbook. For DJI smart batteries you do not need to account for cycles prior to entry as it will be captured from the telemetry data.

Also, for DJI batteries if you enter the serial number from the telemetry data DroneLogbook will be able to automatically track flights/time when you import your DJI log files. As other manufacturers improve their telemetry files we will but upgrading this feature as it becomes available.

If you do not fill out the mandatory fields you will receive an error notification.

As always click “Save” to have changes take effect.

To Edit or Retire a battery click on the pencil icon.

This will open the “Battery Details” screen that you used to enter the battery information. To edit data just change the information in the desired field. To retire a battery change the “Retired” switch to “On”.

As always, you need to click the “Save” button to make the changes effective.

DroneLogbook also has a mass import feature to allow for mass importation of batteries via csv upload. To access this page click the “+Mass-Import Battery” button.

Then click the importBattery-dronelogbook.csv file to access the template. When you have filled out the template you can upload the file from the “Upload file” button in the lower left of the same page.
